About Us

Based in Alwoodley our Scout Group has a Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer Section
We are a very active group when it comes to getting outdoors. Making sure that all of our members have a chance to experience the wilderness in different ways. The Beavers start young with day trips out and the Explorers plan their own adventures.
Every five or six years we try to camp abroad as part of a global challenge and to meet scouts from other countries. Meaning all our young people should get at least one chance to camp internationally during their time in Scouts or Explorers. To enable this we have an annual fund raising plant sale that subsidises camps and activities.
LEARN THROUGH FUN!
Outdoor adventure for all ages
Our group love getting outdoors and teaching the kids of all ages safe ways to enjoy camping and cooking outdoors.
Fun and Action throughout those Childhood years
There are 450,000 young people in Scouting, spread across five sections: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network. Each section has its own balanced programme of activities, badges and awards.
